Packaging Innovations MWV MeadWestvaco Corp. (MWV) introduced the Emotions of Spray Collection by MWV, an expanded line of six fragrance pumps, each with unique spray characteristics. The Emotions of Spray Collection offers brand owners the opportunity to create a match between the fragrance and the sprayer, heightening the consumer experience, increasing brand loyalty and driving repeat purchase intent. The collection includes the original Melodie pump, Melodie Agile and Melodie Forever. Additionally, there are three new sprayers: Melodie Pure provides a fine atomization, even for water-based formulas, avoiding a wet feeling on the skin and enriching the luxury experience. Melodie Delicate is a discreet, elegant and focused spray that is both soft and quiet; and Maestro Extravagant offers a voluminous spray mist that is refreshing and airy with a long and sustained spray pattern. 22 Spray December 2013 Qosmedix Marketers can package lotion, cream or oil-based skincare products in two new pearl airless jars from Qosmedix. Made from polypropylene, the airless jars are available in two sizes: 15ml (Part # 29928) and 30ml (Part # 29929). Sold separately is the White Airless Pump with Clear Overcap (Part # 29959), which is compatible with both sizes. Simply depress the pump to dose out the appropriate amount of product. The airless technology helps maintain the efficacy of cosmetic formulations and helps ensure that the product is fully depleted from the jar. M&H and Delta Industries Delta Industries and M&H Plastics, Inc. jointly developed a product with the ability to atomize cooking oils. M&H was asked to produce a custom shaped bottle designed by Michael Graves Design Group to complement the new Delta Evo Trigger Sprayer, which provides a metered dose, allowing portion control and consistency. M&H manufactured the distinctive PCTG (glycol modified polycyclohexyl terephthallate) bottle inhouse. The 238ml bottle was produced in amber, which communicates and reinforces the product content, and the bottle graphics were designed to reflect the unique shape and color of the ergonomically-designed trigger device, according to M&H Plastics. Delta’s Evo Trigger Sprayer utilizes proprietary design components to achieve an atomization of viscous products. The nozzle allows the Evo to spray in either a vertical fan or horizontal fan pattern that covers a large area.
