INVENTORS’ CIRCLE Newest Patent Approvals Ergonomic cap for plastic aerosol container U.S. Patent No. 7,721,920 B2 The Clorox Company The Clorox Co., Oakland, CA, patented a cap that is provided for coupling with a pressure-resistant container to form an aerosol spray bottle. The cap includes a spray trigger for controlling a valve. The cap can have an outward slant from the cap bottom where the cap couples with the container. The top profile of the cap from a side view can have a convex shape. The cap can have a front side where the substance is expelled that is higher than the back side where the base of a user’s finger would be when the user actuates the trigger with a fingertip. Hair Styling Composition U.S. Patent No. 8,864,036 Kao Corporation Kao Corp., Tokyo, Japan, patented a hair cosmetic composition that can provide soft feeling and natural finish feeling to the hair, can be preferably used for the purposes of providing a fluffy volume to a hair style, and preventing flyaways, unwanted curls or kinks to provide manageability to the hair, and can maintain a hair style for a long time without disturbing the hair style by external factors (e.g. combing of the hair with fingers, wind or vibration). The inventors found that a hair cosmetic composition that satisfies all of the above-mentioned performances can be obtained by incorporating two kinds of poly(N-acylalkyleneimine)-modified organopolysiloxanes having specific structures at a specific ratio. A hair cosmetic composition comprising components (A) and (B) at a mass ratio of (A)/(B)=0.66 to 9.0: (A) an organopolysiloxane wherein poly(acylalkyleneimine) segments each having a molecular weight of 1,200 to 5,500 are bound to an organopolysiloxane segment having a molecular weight of 7,000 to 100,000, the mass ratio of the both segments is 35/65 to 60/40, and the organopolysiloxane segment between the above-mentioned bonds has a molecular weight of 1,300 to 5,500, (B) an organopolysiloxane wherein poly(acylalkyleneimine) segments each having a molecular weight of 800 to 1,600 are bound to an organopolysiloxane segment having a molecular weight of 10,000 to 100,000, the mass ratio of the both segments is 65/35 to 82/18, and the organopolysiloxane segment between the above-mentioned bonds has a molecular weight of 1,500 to 3,500. 28 Spray February 2015 Hard Surface Cleaner U.S. Patent No. 8,729,005 B2 Reckitt & Colman (Overseas) Limited Reckitt & Colman (Overseas) Limited, Slough, Berkshire, UK, has patented an aqueous liquid acidic hard surface cleaning composition that has a pH of 2–4. It is comprised of an organic acid constituent which consists solely of acetic acid; at least one nonionic surfactant derived from Guerbet alcohols; an organic solvent constituent which comprises at least one glycol ether solvent; a sequestering polymer constituent selected from the group consisting of polymethyl methacrylatepolyethylene glycol graft copolymers, and poly(acrylic acid/2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid); 0-5% wt. of a cosurfactant constituent selected from the group consisting of nonionic, cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic surfactants, and mixtures thereof; one or more constituents selected from the group consisting of coloring agents, fragrances and fragrance solubilizers, viscosity modifying agents thickeners, pH adjusting agents and pH buffers, optical brighteners, opacifying agents, hydrotropes, abrasives, and preservatives; and water. Water comprises at least 80% by weight of the composition and the acetic acid is the sole acid present in the composition.
