Packaging Innovations Lindal The Lindal Group’s range of aerosol dispensing solutions now includes its new ball valve, a cost-effective option for personal care, household and industrial products and more. The ball valve delivers easy 360-degree actuation, both upright and upside-down, according to the manufacturer. Its modular construction means it will fit with any actuator that also fits the company’s LI valves, and all materials are FDA-approved, making the ball valve suitable for food products, as well. Swallowfield Swallowfield plc created a foaming shower gel that comes in a plastic aerosol package. The plastic container helps provide greater flexibility in a “can” shape, and is also 18% lighter than its metal counterpart, according to the company. Consumer benefits include a corrosion-resistant container that is warmer and softer to the touch and less likely to damage if accidentally dropped. Product development included rigorous safety testing in line with proposed Federation of European Aerosols (FEA) standards. 20 Spray June 2015
