Berry Plastics purchased the Containers & Closures division of Rexam Healthcare for approximately $135 million. The division produces bottles and closures for pharmaceutical and overthe counter applications. The sale includes Rexam manufacturing facilities in France, India, Mexico and the U.S. Givaudan announced that it has acquired French cosmetic ingredients firm Soliance with plans to integrate it into the company’s fragrance division. It is the Swiss-based fragrance and flavor company’s first acquisition since Quest International in 2007. DSM Nutritional Products announced an exclusive partnership with supplier Isobionics B.V. to distribute ingredients Valencene and Nootkatone to the fragrance and flavors market.
