People in the News been named Senior VP of the regional Nutrition & Health Europe business unit. Fragrance and flavor company IFF Inc. announced that CEO Doug Tough will step down effective September 1, 2014. IFF’s Board of Directors selected Andreas Fibig, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals since 2008, to succeed him. John Foley has been appointed VP of Sales & Marketing for CCL Container’s Aerosol Division in Hermitage, PA. He succeeds Charlie Herrmann, who has taken a similar position at CCL Container’s Strongsville, OH facility. Most recently, Foley was a Commercial Director for Fram Filtration. He is a graduate of Tulane University with a BA in Economics, History and Business, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Diversified CPC International promoted Dileep Bendi to the newly-created position of Process Engineering Manager. The new role is an expansion of Bendi’s responsibility for the propellant company’s Bendi process engineering activities. Wifag-Polytype announced that Roger Schmidt will take over the company’s Metal Packaging division, a position that will also make him Managing Director of Mall + Herlan GmbH, a German manufacturer of can making equipment. Schmidt The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) appointed Beth Lange, Ph.D. the organization’s new Chief Scientist. She will replace Halyna Breslawec, who retired in April. Since 2008, Lange Lange has served as Chief Scientific Officer at Mary Kay Inc. She has also held senior scientific positions at Kimberly Clark, Schering-Plough and Unilever. Aptar Beauty + Home named Jean-Jacques Ligny VP, Marketing & Communication. He has been with Aptar for over 15 years and previously served as Marketing & Development Director for the company’s subsidiary, Valois. BASF named Dirk Mampe as VP of its Personal Care Europe business unit. He is responsible for the regional business management of personal care specialties; he succeeds Thomas Schroder, who has Lubin David Lubin was named President of MJS Packaging.
