INVENTORS’ CIRCLE Newest Patent Approvals Aerosol Bathroom Cleaner U.S. Patent No. 8,927,479 B2 The Clorox Company The Clorox Co., Oakland, CA, was awarded a patent for a hard surface aerosol cleaning composition with improved bathroom soil removal. The composition, which develops a foam upon being dispensed, consists of a nonionic surfactant; a cationic surfactant; a water-soluble or dispersible organic solvent having a vapor pressure of at least 0.001mm Hg at 25°C; a chelating agent; a propellant, wherein 30% to 100% by weight of the propellant is n-butane; and water. Optionally, it can also contain one or more of the following adjuncts selected from the group consisting of: builders, buffers, fragrances, perfumes, thickeners, dyes, colorants, pigments, foaming stabilizers, water-insoluble organic solvents, corrosion inhibitors, hydrotropes and mixtures thereof. Perfume Refill Bottle U.S. Patent No. 8,881,775 B2 Beauty Union Global Limited Beauty Union Global Ltd., Chai Wan, Hong Kong, patented a refill bottle adapted to repeatedly receive and dispense liquids such as perfume. The refill bottle comprises a bottle having a bottom portion and an upper portion, an opening provided in the upper portion wherein the opening is adapted to be covered, and a refill mechanism provided in the bottom portion. The liquid is received through the refill mechanism from a regular bottle, preferably provided with a spraying mechanism, and it is dispensed through the opening. Edible Foam Product for the Treatment or Prevention of Obesity U.S. Patent No. 8,945,660 KSF Acquisition Corp. KSF Acquisition Corp., West Palm Beach, FL, patented an edible foam product that can be used in the treatment or prevention of obesity. More particularly, the present invention provides an edible foam product of pourable or spoonable consistency having an overrun of at least 100%, said foam product containing at least 60 wt. % of water, from 1 to 7 wt. % of protein and from one to 20 wt. % of carbohydrates, and further being characterized by a high in-mouth stability as evidenced by a reduction in overrun of less than 35% under in-mouth shear conditions and a high gastric stability as evidenced by a t1/2>30 minutes, t1/2representing the time needed to achieve a reduction in overrun of 50% under gastric conditions. Another aspect of the invention relates to the use of an edible foam product in the treatment or prevention of overweight or obesity, said edible foam product having a pourable or spoonable consistency, an overrun of at least 100% and a high gastric stability as evidenced by t1/2>30 minutes. Yet another aspect of the invention concerns a pressurized container holding an edible liquid composition and a propellant, which liquid composition can be released from the container by activating a valve to produce an edible foam product having a pourable or spoonable consistency, an overrun of at least 100% and a high gastric stability as evidenced by t1/2>30 minutes. 36 Spray April 2015 u
