Spray March 2015

SPRAYTechnology & Marketing Commentary Ava Caridad, Editorial Director As readers will know from past issues, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Consumer Product Survey is due on March 2. If you sell a Consumer Product into the state of California and your product is on the CARB survey form, then you are responsible to fill out the survey. It’s also state law. It’s important to the aerosol industry that this survey is filled out correctly, as it is used to develop future consumer product volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations. This means that the better the information you provide, the smoother the rule development process goes. However, completed surveys are due the 2nd of this month; that doesn’t give participants a whole lot of time if they haven’t been paying attention was willing to grant some extensions, whereas previously they were not. One needs to have a good reason for the extension, and fill out an application. Read more about this process on page 8. Let SPRAY be your guide... Also in this issue, readers can find the Fillers Directory for 2015, a convenient alphabetical reference for finding filling partners, both in North America and overseas. The guide includes specific information on company location, contact details and the types of products filled. An interactive version is available at www.spraytm.com. Every year, we endeavor to present our readers with the most up-to-date information and contact resources. Our compilation is the result of various methods of data gathering, including a detailed questionnaire sent out each year to ensure that all of our facts are accurate and current. If you or your favorite filler isn’t listed or hasn’t been updated, be sure to let us know.  As always, we hope you enjoy this issue and find it useful. 6 Spray March 2015 Cynthia Hundley Publisher chundley@spraytm.com Ava Caridad Editorial Director acaridad@spraytm.com Greg Dool Assistant Editor gdool@spraytm.com Montfort A.
