Revlon Inc. has appointed Debra Perelman as
CEO. Perelman, who was also named President,
is the daughter of Revlon Board Chairman
Ronald Perelman and has spent more than 20
years with Revlon and as member of the senior
leadership team at MacAndrews & Forbes Inc.
Perelman previously served as COO at Revlon
and is also a Revlon Board member.
Edgewell Personal Care Co. has named Marisa
Iasenza as Chief Legal Officer. Iasenza joins Edgewell from Harman
International Industries, Inc. where she served as senior VP, General
Counsel and Secretary. Prior to that, she served as Assistant General
Counsel with United Agri Products, Inc.
Gretchen Saegh-Fleming has been promoted to
Chief Marketing Officer at L’Oréal, Inc. She previously
served as senior VP Digital & Marketing,
LUXE Division, at L’Oréal.
The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has
named Jessica Ek as Director, Digital Communications.
She joins ACI after 10 years with the
American Nurses Association, where served as
Manager, Social Media Engagement. Prior, Ek
worked as a copywriter and senior blog strategist
for Connors Communications.
Laraine (Rainey) Mancini has joined The Estée
Lauder Cos. Inc. as Senior VP, Investor Relations.
Mancini succeeds Dennis D’Andrea who
is retiring on July 2 after more than 20 years at
the company. Mancini has more than 30 years of
experience in the media, business and financial
sectors, most recently serving as Senior VP, Finance
& Head of Investor Relations at Univision.
Her previous appointments were with Time Warner Cable, Merrill
Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Sundial Brands has appointed Kimberly Evans Paige to the new
position of Chief Operating & Brand-Building Officer. Sundial is a
Unilever company. Paige joins Sundial after serving as Chief Marketing
Officer of Coty, Inc. and prior, The Coca Cola Co. She began
her career at Procter & Gamble’s former Package Soap & Detergent
division.
Following the announcement that The Hallstar Co. will divide
its company into Hallstar Beauty & Personal Care and Hallstar
Industrial Solutions Business, John Paro will retain his roles as
Chairman & CEO of The Hallstar Co., however the new companies
will each have separate leadership. Robert Hu will become President
& Chief Technology Officer of Hallstar Beauty & Personal Care. He
is currently serving as Hallstar VP, EMEA, APAC & Global Innovation.
The President of Hallstar Industrial Solutions has not yet been
named. Both Damian Marshall in Industrial Solutions and Varun
Mathur in Beauty & Personal Care will serve as VPs and GMs.
Serge Rogasik has joined Vantage Specialty Ingredients as Senior
Executive VP Sales & Marketing for Personal Care. Rogasik has more
than 15 years in the personal care industry in Asia, Europe and the
Americas.

The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) has
named Barbara Haviland Minor the 2018 SCI
Perkin Medal award winner. Minor is a corporate
fellow at The Chemours Co. and will receive
the honor, which recognizes her contributions to
R&D for non-ozone depleting Opteon refrigerants,
in September. Minor holds more than 160
U.S. patents for aerosol propellants, refrigerants
and cleaning agents. She has also held leadership
roles in the American Society of Heating,
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air
Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
Oat Cosmetics has promoted Elena Frangeul Baron to the newly
created position of Sales Manager. Baron previously served as Sales
& Logistics Administrator. She is fluent in French, Spanish and
Portuguese and will work to develop business in countries speaking
these languages.
Johannes Schick, CEO of the Stölzle Glass
Group has stepped down. Georg Feith, who has
held various management positions with parent
company CAG group, has taken over management.
Stölzle Masnières has promoted its current
General Manager, Etienne Gruyez, to CEO
of the Perfumery & Cosmetics Business Unit.
Gruyez will oversee the upcoming innovation and
growth phase of the Hauts de France site, Stölzle
Masnières Parfumerie SAS and Stölzle Masnières
Décoration SAS.
GOJO Industries announced Marcella Kanfer
Rolnick will assume the role of Executive Chair.
She has served as Vice Chair since 2007. Joe
Kanfer, previously Chair & CEO, will assume the

In addition, there is a new person in charge of the Stationary &
Area Sources Committee: Frank Steitz from the New Jersey Dept.
of Environmental Protection. Steitz stated that the OTC will
update these rules to the most recent versions and that it is not going
to consider Reactivity. Industry needs to form a good working
relationship with Steitz.
DOT Meeting
On May 14, in a meeting set up by the Household & Consumer
Products Association (HCPA), the aerosol industry met with the
U.S. Dept. of Transportation (DOT) to discuss several issues:
• Global harmonization of the definition of an aerosol;
• Reducing barriers to use on plastic aerosols (inclusion of
2.1 gases);
• Reduce the restrictions on the types of resins allowed for
use in plastic aerosols;
• Water bath testing and alternatives

Overall, this was a great meeting and a good start to working with
DOT. Spray
