The Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) announced three internal promotions. Beth Law was named Assistant General Counsel/VP of Stewardship & Sustainability, managing all retailrelated issues, including ingredient disclosure and hazardous waste disposal. She will maintain her current roles of Staff Executive in the Pest Management Products Division and the Environmental Marketing Claims Committee. Tim Brown, who joined the association in 2011 as Staff Executive for the Cleaning Products Division and Regulatory Government Affairs Advisory Committee, will take on the additional role of Regulatory Counsel & Director of International Affairs, taking the lead on all international affairs. Sara Stickler, who joined CSPA’s non-profit Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE) in 2012, was promoted to Executive Director of ACE. According to the association, Stickler has been instrumental in expanding and promoting ACE’s Inhalant Prevention, Disease Prevention and Poison Prevention programs. As part of a companywide revitalization effort, Avon Products, Inc. announced a reorganization of the company’s management structure, specifically a splitting of operations in Latin America, the company’s largest region in terms of revenue. David Legher, President & Senior VP of Avon Brazil will taken on added responsibility for the company’s South Market Group, which includes Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. He has been with the company for 13 years. Fernando Acosta, President & Senior VP, Latin America, will retain responsibility for the northern half of the region, which includes Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and all countries northward, up to and including Mexico and the Caribbean. Additionally, Acosta was named the company’s Head of Global Brand Marketing. He joined the company in 2011 after 19 years at Unilever. John Higson, Senior VP, EMEA and a 29-year veteran with Avon, will take on the additional role of Head of Global Field Operations, advising sales teams in Avon’s 12 busiest markets. Finally, Avon announced that CMO and former Procter & Gamble VP Patricia Perez-Ayala will leave the company effective Jan. 2.
