Association training offerings include: • Introduction to Aerosol Technology (2 day + factory tours) • Introduction to Aerosol Technology – Foundation Course (1 day) • Regulatory Workshop • Aerosol Labelling Workshop (launched March 2015) • Propellant Safety Workshop (launched Oct. 2015) • Sustainability Workshop Personal care aerosols remain strong and account for approximately half of all local fillings. The aerosol format dominates the AP/DEO category. Fleming admitted that the association’s recycling promotion still has room to raise awareness and recovery rates. Steltzner promoted the benefits of utilizing human curiosity and incorporating this passion for learning into teamwork and working well with others to General Session attendees, correlating the meeting’s Collaboration theme. Steltzner’s cogent advice on creating a culture of collaborative innovation struck home with the capacity crowd: “Respect the people on the team,” Steltzner said. “It is essential for collaboration. Allow the ideas to do mortal combat—that is essential for innovation.” Aerosol Products Division program On Dec. 6, the Aerosol International Liaison Committee (ILC) held a six-hour meeting that brought together aerosol industry association executives from ten different countries to discuss the growing international markets for the packaging form. According to organizers, hosting speakers and representatives from Europe, Latin America, Australia and Asia was a decidedly unique feature of this year’s Aerosol meeting, making the powerful discussion of the issues even more far reaching. On Dec. 8, the Aerosol Products Division convened with a program titled Aerosol Products around the Globe. Philip Fleming, Executive Director of the Aerosol Association of Australia Inc. presented Aerosol Products in Australasia. The Aerosol Association of Australia is small, but proud of its pioneering achievements, including levy-funded advertising, coining the Fleming
