Editorial Director Summer fun… Those who read my commentary with any regularity will recall my impatience for the launch of certain spray food products (namely aerosol Worcestershire sauce and aerosol gin). In a tasty reversal, Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess fragrance has inspired its own limited edition ice cream sundae. Jeni Britton Bauer, owner of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream in Los Feliz, CA, collaborated with Estée Lauder on the sundae, and started selling it in July in her 23 additional locations across the U.S. “It’s truly ethereal,” Britton Bauer expressed when discussing the iconic Bronze Goddess fragrance. “It really does smell like how you’d want to smell on a beach or in the summer sun.” The sundae highlights some favorite elements of Bronze Goddess, inspired by the scent’s most edible notes—orange blossom, coconut and sandalwood. It features Jeni’s Salty Caramel ice cream, topped with toasted coconut, honey-whipped cream and cherries cold-poached in sugar, lemon juice and orange blossom water. Mmmm. This issue includes SPRAY’s 2016-2017 Buyers Guide. We have compiled everything you need for packaging a new spray product into this handy resource guide, which lists a variety of special services, components and raw materials. We are also featuring its companion piece, the 11th edition of Corporate Profiles, which provides the latest information from the companies committed to providing the most up-to-date products and services for our industry. The Buyers Guide is also offered online and can be found in our digital version, as well. Visit www.spraytm.com for more information. If your company is not represented or under-represented, or even represented incorrectly (!), please contact me directly at acaridad@spraytm.com. Each year, we strive for accuracy and try to make the Buyers Guide more streamlined and efficient than the year before. We can only do this with your help and participation. Please review the Guide and determine if your company is properly represented; a matter of clearing up a “faulty” email address is really all it takes to make sure accuracy prevails.
