Product categories “Other” Hair Care Products saw a 25.1% increase, while Space Insecticides experienced a 10.6% increase. Lubricants/Rustinhibitors increased 9.5%, as did Shaving Foams (6.4%), Paints (4.1%) and Hair Sprays (3.7%). On the other hand, Room Fresheners saw a 42.2% decrease, as did Medical/ Pharmaceutical (-13.3%), Cleaners (-12.0%) and Antiperspirants/ Deodorants (-4.8%). By combining two pouches on one valve, it enables the separate storage of two components in one system and the discharge of two components with one actuation. “DUAL” was adopted by certain hair dye products in 2013. Additionally, DAIZO Inc. developed a new system called “DVD” (Dual Valve Dispenser). It also has two pouches in one container and was adopted by certain hair dye products in 2014. It uses a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container so consumers can see how much product is left. Finally, hair-tonic sprays and scalp-care sprays also sold steadily. Medical/Pharmaceutical sales decreased because of a slump in external antiseptic sprays and athlete’s foot remedies. Antiperspirants/Deodorants decreased because of competition from non-aerosols. In other personal products categories, insect deterrent spray sales increased due to concerns over the Dengue Fever pandemic. In the Industrial Products category, Lubricants/Rustinhibitors sales increased because of the economic recovery. In the Automotive Products category, new spray coatings for car exteriors also exhibited good sales. SPRAY
