People in the News April 2016 Spray 35 Elizabeth Arden, Inc. announced the appointment of George Cleary as President, Global Fragrances, effective Mar. 14. Cleary’s most recent role was CEO, Iluminage. Previously, he held senior positions at Coty Inc. including President, Americas. Cleary started his career at Nestlé and then moved into the personal care and beauty sector where he held several sales and general management positions with Johnson & Johnson before joining Coty. Michael Byrnes was appointed Sales Manager for the U.S. at Condensa, manufacturer of extruded aluminum packaging. Byrnes has over 30 years experience in the aerosol and packaging industries. Previously he was the Aerosol Propellant Plant Manager at Aeropres in the East and Midwest U.S. Unilever announced that outgoing Bayer AG CEO Marijn Dekkers is to succeed Michael Treschow as its Chairman. The company also announced Hixonia Nyasulu will retire from the Board in April and will be replaced by Strive Masiyiwa, founder and chairman of Telecom Company Econet Wireless, and Youngme Moon of Harvard Business School. Additionally, Samir Singh, currently VP & Executive Director, Personal Care at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) is taking over as the Global Executive VP, Skin Cleansing at Unilever. Sandeep Kohli, currently VP, Myanmar Cambodia & Laos will succeed Singh as VP and Executive Director, Personal Care, HUL. Giancarlo Giuffredi has retired from the Coster Machinery Division, which he has headed since 1964. Over his career in the aerosol industry, he provided valuable contributions to the implementation, development and Giuffredi success of the Coster Filling Machinery Division, and contributed to the design of many products, especially in the field of aerosol valves and spray pumps. Revlon announced that CEO Lorenzo Delpani is stepping down for personal reasons. Revlon said Delpani will remain on the board and will also be a paid adviser.
