Breaks 1.1 billion mark in aerosol production Spray Aerosol production in Argentina rose 4.4% in 2013, up 47.7 million units from 2012, according to Camara Argentina del Aerosol (CADEA). Of the major categories, Personal Care Products, which accounted for 57% of total aerosol fillings, saw the largest rise, increasing by 43.5 million units (7.2%). The vast majority of Personal Care Products filled were deodorants at 620 million units, up 7.8% from 2012. Household Products fell 6.7% to 199.3 million, with air fresheners down 9%. Insecticides (7.3%), Food Products (20%) and Others (3.4%) all saw increases. Automotive, industrial and veterinary products, as well as paints and varnishes, all remained steady. Overall, the aerosol industry in Argentina has experienced growth in eight of the past ten years, and 2013 production reflects an increase of 124% over 2004’s total of 506 million units filled.
