November 2013 Spray 43 Industry News Ball Corp. introduced its Matte & Gloss printing technology for impact extruded aerosol cans and beverage bottles at the 28th FEA International Aerosol Congress in Madrid. By enabling customers to combine the two finishes on the same can, the Matte & Gloss printing process can help differentiate and enhance a product’s shelf appeal through sight and touch. Matte & Gloss can be applied to any design or color for a contrast effect where the gloss reflects light and the matte offers a subdued soft look. Executives from across the global cleaning product supply chain can now register for the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) 2014 Annual Meeting Tecnocoster, Coster’s plant dedicated to the production of special actuators for Personal Care, Cosmetics and Pharmaceutical products, is located in Castelnuovo, Trento, Italy. Thanks to a multi-million Euro investment, Tecnocoster redesigned its automated warehouse and its inbound logistic system introducing a number of cutting edge technological innovations, such as state-of-the art automated palletization system; Laser Guided Vehicles; and optimized stock management of both components and finished products. Lanxess Corp.’s Saltidin (also known by the names Picaridin in the U.S. and Icaridin in Canada) insect repellent active ingredient, used in Tender Corp.’s commercial product, Natrapel 20% spray, has been approved by the Armed Forces Pest Management Board for National Stock Number (NSN) assignment in the military and the Dept. of Defense stock system. As a result of over six years of field tests, the Natrapel 20% spray was awarded a NSN as an alternative to the current choice of insect repellent products containing only DEET. In the U.S., the 20% spray formulation containing Saltidin is approved for 12
