INVENTORS' CIRCLE ne west patent approv als New Feature ð Lockable Spray Cap U.S. Patent No. 8,418,892 Coster Tecnologie Speciali S.p.A. Coster Tecnologie Speciali S.p.A., Trento, Italy, has patented an aerosol spray cap. The aerosol spray cap (1) comprises two separate pieces, those of a base member (10) and a rotating twist ring (20). The base member (10) is formed as a single cast piece for attaching to the top of an aerosol canister, and provides an actuator button which is integrated with the fluid passageway. This integrated fluid passageway and actuator button (11) interacts with the fluid out-pipe of the aerosol canister, and so allows actuation of the aerosol. The rotating twist ring provides a means whereby the movement of the integrated fluid passageway and actuator button (11) is prohibited, thereby locking the operation of the aerosol. Hard Surface Cleaner with Anti-Fog Benefits U.S. Patent No. 8,476,214B2 SC Johnson SC Johnson, Racine, WI, patented a multi-functional hard surface treating composition that contains a surfactant system including at least two surfactants; at least one alkylene glycol alkyl ether; at least two solvents; at least one detergent; polymeric wetter compound; adjuvants and water as a carrier. The composition has a volatile organic content of less than 4%, lessens fogging on a hard surface, does not include a chelator and does not include monoethanolamine. 20 Spray November 2013 Spray Compositions U.S. Patent No. 8,518,384 B2 Conopco Inc. Conopco Inc., Englewood Cliffs, NJ, has patented spray compositions. The patent covers an anhydrous base composition suitable for incorporation in an anhydrous aerosol composition intended for discharge from an aerosol dispenser. The base composition is comprised of a particulate astringent antiperspirant salt; an anhydrous carrier fluid for said particulate salt; and a humectant. The humectant comprises a low molecular weight polyethylene glycol that is liquid at 20°C. The low molecular weight polyethylene glycol being present in an amount of from 1-10% by weight of the base composition and the anhydrous carrier fluid being present in an amount of from 35-85% by weight of the base composition. If a watermiscible monohydric alcohol is present, it is present in an amount less than 3% by weight of the base composition. The polyethylene glycol has an average molecular weight of up to 520, and the base composition contains no more than 0.3% by volume of particles having a diameter of greater than 125 microns.
