Industry News (PCPC) Labeling Manual: A Guide to Cosmetic & OTC Drug Labeling & Advertising, Ninth Edition, takes an indepth look at U.S. regulations for labeling cosmetics, OTC drugs, and professional products. In addition, the manual provides information on overthe counter (OTC) drug labeling for companies that manufacture cosmetic-drugs; Sunscreen Drug Products for OTC Human Use and the 2011 FDA Final Rule on Sunscreen government regulation and industry self-regulation of advertising claims; Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enforcement trends and National Advertising Division 48 Spray May 2013 (NAD) cases involving personal care products; as well as a discussion of “organic” and “natural” claims.  Additionally, The Compilation of Ingredients Used in Cosmetics in the U.S. (CIUCUS) can be used as a reference for ingredients that have been reported to the Food & Drug Administration Voluntary Cosmetics Registration Program (VCRP).
