Mergers & Acquisitions Global beauty company Coty Inc., together with UAE-based luxury goods distributors, Chalhoub Group and Jashanmal, announced the formation of Coty Distribution Emirates LLC, a new joint venture established to strengthen Coty’s business in the United Arab Emirates. The venture will allow Coty to expand its go-to market capabilities in the UAE and provide consumers in the region with even greater access to Coty’s brand portfolio. The new entity will also allow Coty to consolidate the distribution of its products and ensure a cohesive marketing strategy throughout this key market. Henkel has completed the acquisition of a Russian beauty care plant from Wellchem Holding GmbH, Austria. The fully operative factory is located near Moscow. The Body Shop confirmed its acquisition of 51% of Brazilian brand Emporio Body Store, with the option of increasing its stake to 80% by 2019. International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. announced the acquisition of Aromor Flavors and Fragrances, Ltd., a U.S. manufacturer of specialty fragrance ingredients. Ceapro Inc. announced the signing of a loan agreement with its major partner, German based multinational company Symrise. According to Ceapro, the financial support from Symrise fully provides Ceapro with the required capital to complete the construction of a state-of-the-art facility in Edmonton, AB, Canada. CPL Aromas appointed Brenntag its exclusive distribution partner in Turkey. With four warehouses throughout the transcontinental nation, Brenntag will work with CPL Aromas to promote and distribute new fragrance compounds and technologies there. TRI-K Industries, Inc. announced its partnership with Omnichem as its exclusive distributor in the Italian market. Omnichem will distribute TRI-K’s line of cosmetic proteins, natural actives, biotechnology products and other specialty ingredients for the cosmetic & personal care market. TRI-K also announced the acquisition of Surfactants International, Inc., a distributor of surfactants, polymers and preservatives for personal care, household and specialty industrial products. Surfactants is the exclusive distributor for Surety Laboratories, Inc., which was also acquired by TRI-K. KODA Distribution Group acquired The DeWolf Cos. Based in Rhode Island and specializing in personal care, color cosmetics and HI&I, DeWolf is made up of three companies: DeWolf Chemical, Inc., Glenn Corp. and Tempo Canada ULC.
