Rieke Dispensing has appointed Nicolas Lemaigre- Voreaux as its European Sales Director to spearhead the company’s program throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He previously spent 15 years with Calmar, where he was VP Sales & Marketing, Europe. SeaCliff Beauty Packaging & Laboratories welcomed John La- Bonty as its responsible for the Canadian business units K-G Spray-Pak and Assured Packaging. O’Brien was most recently Executive VP at Zep Sales & Service- East. Prior to that, he spent 12 years with JohnsonDiversey and 11 years with P&G. Germaine has more than 25 years of experience in the contract manufacturing and packaging industry. He spent 20 years as the VP of Sales-North America for CCL Custom Manufacturing, prior to its acquisition by KIK in 2005. Lindal Group appointed Manfred DeGutis LaBonty Schnor to the position of Chief Financial Officer with responsibilities for the financial activities of the Group. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer of the Dailycer Group, a European cereal manufacturer. Schnor has also been appointed Managing Director of the Lindal Group Holding GmbH, Lindal’s newly incorporated company, based in Hamburg, Germany. In addition, Schnor will join the Group’s Executive Management Team. Firmenich announced the appointment of Bhavesh Shah, Group VP, Chief Purchasing Officer to the Company’s Direction Générale. Prior to joining Firmenich in 2011, Shah spent 19 years with P&G, where he Avon Products, Inc. announced the appointment of David Powell as Senior VP of Business Transformation & Global Supply Chain. He will report to Sheri McCoy, Avon’s CEO, and will join the company’s Executive Committee.  Most recently, Powell was the Managing Partner for Midreef Partners, LLC. Prior to that, he spent more than 10 years at Johnson & Johnson. Michael DeGutis, VP of Sales & Marketing for Fiber-Shield Industries for 11 years, retired, effective Feb. 1. DeGutis was an active member of the Southern Aerosol Technical Assoc. (SATA) and the Consumer Specialty Products Assoc. (CSPA) for those 11 years and hadn’t missed a meeting during that time, according to Fiber-Shield. The Fragrance Foundation has named Elizabeth Musmanno as President. She was preceded in the role by Rochelle Bloom and Annette Green, the organization’s Musmanno founder. PLZ Aeroscience named Joe O’Brien and Paul Germaine to lead its North American sales teams. O’Brien is responsible for the sales and marketing functions of the U.S.-based business units Plaze, Claire, Sprayway, CPC and Camie. Germaine is O'Brien Germaine Shah OBITUARY Donald Beardsworth, age 89, died on Jan. 3, 2013 at Hospice of West Palm Beach, FL. Following service in WWII as a Combat Engineer in Europe, Beardsworth graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1948. He began his sales career in the aerosol industry working for Risdon’s Aerosol Valve Division in Naugatuck, CT. Following that, he went to work with Jack Whitkey at OEL, Elizabeth, NJ, developing sales for the co-dispensing 1" aerosol valve used in Gillette Co.’s “The Hot One,” a shaving foam that generated its own heat from an exothermic reaction upon dispensing product from the can. Beardsworth went on to sell contract filling services for Fluid Chemical, Lakewood, NJ, before starting his own manufacturer’s rep agency in the early 1970s, specializing in machinery. He formed D. A. Beardsworth Associates, Inc. with son Doug in 1979, which represented Terco, Haumiller Engineering, Anode Products and Berry Plastics throughout much of the 1980s. He is often remembered for this period of his career, and his use of his Cessna 182 for making sales calls throughout the Eastern U.S. territory. Beardsworth retired to Florida in the late 1980s. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn, and daughter Donna. He is survived by his companion Mildred Townsend, son Douglas and five grandchildren.   28 Spray March 2013
