The lockable actuator and cap-free option makes Unicity portable, and its 360º dispensing system is suitable for skincare and make-up products, as it is adaptable to various formula viscosities. There is also formula compatibility with the integration of the Evolution or Alpha150 airless cartridges. A choice of two actuators is available—a one piece actuator that combines accessibility and aesthetics, and an actuator with over cap whose composition in three parts enables multiple finishes. (MWV) announced an extension of its Melodie line of high-end luxury fragrance pumps with the launch of Melodie Agile and Melodie Forever. Originally launched in 2005, Melodie fragrance pumps are known for a discreet, low-profile design that offers smooth actuation and an engine that disappears into the neck of the fragrance bottle. The new pumps also offer these discreet aesthetics, along with pre-compression spray technology. Melodie Agile distributes an even, delicate spray pattern with gentle actuation and a whisper sound. Melodie Forever provides a long, sustained, uniform spray of fine particles for a weightless, subtle feel. Plasticum Plasticum developed Sunshine, a lightweight 65mm over cap for the technical aerosol market. Sunshine was developed in conjunction with partners in the industry to set a new market standard without changing product dimensions. The objective was highly focused on efficiency improvement and lower integral costs, yet also with an eye on environmental market requirements. Sunshine is automatically layer- packed by a robot, which leads to a higher packaging density. Layer- packing provides several logistical improvements and significant savings in operational handling to customers. Thanks to the solid layers and firm stacking, the caps remain perfectly round shaped, resulting in substantial efficiency improvements on the customer’s high-speed filling lines. By selecting a special raw material, mechanical properties are maintained. In addition, the material savings as well as the efficiency improvement provides a considerable reduction of the carbon footprint, and less weight also means less packaging tax.
