Lubrizol Corp. launched Carbopol Ultrez 30 polymer, a high performance skin care solution for a broad pH range. Lucas Meyer Cosmetics launched Elix-IR, a botanical active ingredient designed to fight infrared-induced skin aging, as well as Phytenso, a natural and soft hair straightener proposed as an alternative to chemical relaxers. Phytenso helps fight frizz, locks out humidity and helps improve hair manageability. Naturex unveiled botanical ingredients obtained from Africa. The line includes Kigelia, known for its soothing and antibacterial properties, and green rooibos, a powerful antioxidant, both for body and lip care; green coffee, known for its firming and anti-aging properties, for face, body and oral care; hibiscus, which has anti-inflammatory properties, for skin, hair and oral care and kola nut, an anti-cellulite active ingredient. Seppic launched Eliclear 4U, a new rheological modifier that thickens, suspends and gives good clarity to surfactant based personal hygiene formulas; Solagum Tara, a natural texturizing and thickening agent; and Sepinov Weo, a thickening and stabilizing polymer without ethoxylates. Rich in Candida saitoana a-glucans, Celldetox from Silab helps minimize the accumulation of lipofuscin aggregates and thereby contributes to cell and tissue longevity. The active ingredient helps improve the radiance of tired and intoxicated skin and limits the signs of aging by smoothing micro-relief and wrinkles. PhytoCellTec Symphytum from TRI-K Industries has been shown to boost the regenerative power of epidermal stem cells and their ability to build new tissue, creating smoother skin. PhytoCellTec Symphytum is based on stem cells from comfrey, a medicinal plant known for its healing properties. In addition, Regenine is composed of tartaric acid from grapefruit, apple extract, lemon extract, citric acid, Uviox (enzymatic bio-liquefied red grape skin) and Cruox (enzymatic bio-liquefied wheat bran). These ingredients aid in skin revitalization due to the action of several different natural molecules. Belsil Reg 1100 is a new silicone resin elastomer gel from Wacker that produces longer-lasting effects in cosmetic products and leaves the skin feeling pleasant and silky soft. Belsil ADM 6102 E, a new silicone emulsion and hair conditioning agent, allows manufacturers to formulate products that make hair soft and supple.
